for Current Source Applications

The DIO‑1616RL‑PE provides 16 opto‑isolated inputs (compatible with current source output) and 16 opto‑isolated open‑collector outputs (current source type) on a PCI Express board. It features negative‑common configuration with positive logic. All 16 inputs can be used as interrupt request signals with per‑bit enable/disable and selectable edge triggering.

  • Opto‑isolated bus — 1000 Vrms isolation between PCI Express bus and I/O interfaces, excellent noise immunity.
  • Current source I/O — inputs compatible with current source output; outputs are current source type (PNP).
  • Positive logic — data "1" corresponds to High level; data "0" corresponds to Low level.
  • Surge protection — zener diode (RD47FM or equivalent) on each output transistor.
  • Overcurrent protection — per 8 output channels; protects output transistors from excessive current.
  • Digital filter — software‑configurable per input to reject noise and contact bounce.
  • Interrupt on all 16 inputs — edge selectable (rising/falling) per bit; disable/enable in bit units.
