The DIO‑1616HN‑USB provides 16 opto‑isolated inputs (current sink compatible) and 16 opto‑isolated open‑collector outputs (current sink type) in a compact USB 2.0 unit. Inputs are internally powered (5 VDC) — no external supply needed for input section. Outputs require an external 5‑50 VDC supply and support 100 mA per channel.

Connector & Cabling

The unit uses two 10‑pin terminal connectors (3.5mm pitch). The supplied plug connectors mate with the board‑mounted jacks. Compatible wire: AWG28‑16. The USB connection uses a standard USB Mini B connector with included 1.8m cable.
