Digital I/O

The DIO-6464LX-USB is a USB 2.0-compliant digital I/O unit that provides 64 opto-isolated input channels and 64 opto-isolated output channels. Supporting 12-24 VDC operation, it features opto-coupler isolation between the USB bus and I/O interfaces for excellent noise immunity. Common terminals per 16 channels allow different external power supplies for each group.

USB hub function — Up to 4 units can be connected to one PC USB port. Additional units can be connected to other PC USB ports. Connect Contec USB devices to the unit's USB port for expanded connectivity.

Robust Industrial Features

The DIO-6464LX-USB is designed for demanding industrial applications. It includes a digital filter to prevent erroneous inputs from noise or chattering, surge protection on outputs, and overcurrent protection for output transistors. The unit is connector-compatible with PIO-64/64L(PCI)H and DIO-6464L-PE for easy migration.

  • Digital filter — Prevents wrong recognition of input signals from carrying noise or chattering. All input terminals can be filtered via software.
  • Interrupt capability — 16 input signals can be used as interrupt requests. Interrupt trigger edge (rising or falling) is selectable.
  • Surge protection — Zener diodes connected to output circuits protect against surge voltages.
  • Overcurrent protection — Overcurrent protection circuit provided for every eight output channels. Automatically recovers after fault condition clears.
  • Common per 16 channels — Supports different external power supplies for each 16-channel group.
