High-Speed Digital I/O

The PIO-32DM(PCI) is a high-speed bi-directional digital I/O board that supports bus mastering DMA for fast data transfer without CPU burden. It provides 32 TTL-level lines configurable as input or output in 16-bit groups, with 20 MHz pattern I/O and 1K-word FIFO memory per channel.

Bus mastering DMA — Transfers data between PC and board at 80 MB/sec without CPU burden. The board also includes synchronization control connectors to solve timing lag during channel expansion.

Designed for high-speed digital pattern generation and acquisition, the PIO-32DM(PCI) includes powerful control features and inter-board synchronization.

  • Pattern input — 20 MHz sampling with software/external start/stop, pattern detection, and handshake control.
  • Pattern output — 20 MHz generation with software/external start/stop, specified item count, and handshake control.
  • Flexible I/O configuration — 32-bit input, 16-bit input/16-bit output, or 32-bit output (software selectable).
  • Inter-board synchronization — SC connector allows easy synchronization between same or different boards.
  • General-purpose I/O mode — Can be used as standard digital I/O with interrupt capability (rising edge) on four inputs.
  • C-LogicDesigner support — Pattern generator and logic analyzer functionality without programming.
