The BX-T3020 measures just 178mm (W) × 115mm (D) × 29mm (H) — roughly the footprint of a paperback book at only 50mm thick. It can be installed horizontally or vertically and is compatible with optional VESA and DIN rail mounting brackets, making it adaptable to a wide range of enclosures and mounting configurations.

The BX-T3020 is equipped with: 1x HDMI (v1.4), 1x DisplayPort (v1.4), 2x GbE LAN (RJ-45), 4x USB 3.2 Gen2 (USB3.1), 1x RS-232C/422/485 serial port, and 2x M.2 card slots (Key M and Key E). Cable tie attachment points are included on connectors without locking mechanisms — such as USB and HDMI — to prevent accidental disconnections in vibration-prone environments.
Protect your data during a power failure.
The BX-T3020 includes Contec's "Power Failure Protection" system, which prohibits writes to storage in the event of a sudden power loss. Combined with the lockdown function in Windows IoT Enterprise, the system can be safely powered off without a formal shutdown process, eliminating the risk of file system corruption or data loss from unexpected outages. (Available on OS pre-installed models only.)

Security features include TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, and Contec's proprietary USB Boot Protect. These capabilities address the security requirements of industrial applications and help protect against unauthorized access and tampering.
Contec-customized BIOS provides powerful built-in utilities.
The "Contec Fast Boot" function enables Windows startup in as little as 10 seconds. The "Disk Copy" function performs secure, BIOS-level disk backup and supports both file format and compressed file format output. A "BIOS update tool" is also available for managing BIOS configurations over time.
Fanless design minimizes maintenance overhead.
With no fan and no spinning components, the BX-T3020 is a fully spindle-less design. This eliminates concerns about dust ingestion and dramatically reduces the number of wear-prone parts, resulting in lower long-term maintenance requirements.
Hardware monitoring and watchdog timer for mission-critical reliability.
The BX-T3020 includes onboard hardware monitoring for CPU temperature, card temperature, and power voltage. A software-programmable watchdog timer (255 levels, 1–255 seconds) provides automatic recovery from system hangs. A lithium backup battery maintains the real-time clock for at least 10 years under normal use.
