The DIO-0808LY2-USB is a USB 2.0 compliant terminal that extends digital signal I/O functions to any PC no external power supply required. It provides 8 opto-coupler isolated inputs (current sink output) and 8 opto-coupler isolated open-collector outputs (current sink type) operating at 12–24 VDC, with built-in surge voltage and overcurrent protection.
OPTO-COUPLER BUS ISOLATION
All input and output interfaces are isolated from the USB (PC) side by opto-couplers, delivering excellent noise immunity in electrically demanding environments. Common terminal provided per 8 channels supports different external power supplies.
USB 2.0 BUS-POWERED
Compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. Achieves High Speed transfers at 480 Mbps. No external power required the product draws power directly from the USB bus (5 VDC, 250 mA max).
INTERRUPT EVENT FUNCTION
All 8 input channels can be used as interrupt request signals. Interrupt enable/disable and edge selection (rising or falling) are configurable per bit via software enabling responsive real-time event detection.
DIGITAL FILTER FUNCTION
A software-configurable digital filter prevents false triggering from noise or contact bounce (chattering). All input terminals support filtering, ensuring reliable signal acquisition in noisy industrial settings.
OUTPUT PROTECTION CIRCUITS
Zener diodes protect each output transistor against surge voltages. An overcurrent protection circuit covers all 8 output channels as a group. Output rating: max. 35 VDC / 100 mA per channel.
EASY SCREW-TERMINAL WIRING
Screw-type terminal connectors (CN1, CN2) enable fast, secure field wiring without soldering. Compatible with AWG28–16 wire gauges. Allows signal extension up to ~50 m depending on wiring environment.
