Up/Down Counter

The CNT24‑4(PCI)H provides four 24‑bit up/down counter channels on a PCI board. It supports opto‑isolated (500 kHz) or TTL‑level (1 MHz) input selection per channel. Counts 2‑phase (quadrature) or single‑phase signals from rotary encoders, linear scales, and other pulse sources.

  • General‑purpose input — one per channel (opto‑isolated and TTL‑level).
  • Universal key PCI — compatible with 3.3V and 5V slots (requires +5V supply).

Connector & Cabling

The board uses two connectors: CN1 for opto‑isolated inputs (37‑pin D‑SUB) and match outputs, and CN2 for TTL‑level inputs (30‑pin header). CN1 includes phase inputs, general‑purpose inputs, common pins, and match outputs. CN2 provides TTL inputs with +5V output (500 mA max).
