PCI 8‑channel RS‑232C serial I/O board. Supports up to 921,600 bps with 128‑byte FIFO buffers per channel. Operates as standard Windows/Linux COM ports. Up to 16 boards can be installed in a single system.

The COM‑8(PCI)H provides eight RS‑232C serial ports on a PCI board. It supports data rates up to 921,600 bps and includes 128‑byte FIFO buffers for transmit and receive per channel. The board operates as standard Windows/Linux COM ports using the included COM‑DRV driver.

• High speed — supports baud rates from 30 to 921,600 bps (depending on board revision).
• FIFO buffers — 128 bytes each for transmit and receive per channel; reduces CPU load during high‑speed communication.
• Software control — RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR lines can be controlled and monitored via software.
• High density — 8 ports on a single board; up to 16 boards per system (128 ports).
• Flexible power — supports both 3.3V and 5V PCI slots via jumper selection (depending on board revision).

The board uses a 78‑pin on‑board connector. Optional conversion cables are available to split into eight 9‑pin D‑SUB (PCE78/9PS) or eight 25‑pin D‑SUB (PCE78/25PS) male connectors. A DIN‑rail mountable conversion unit (CCU‑78F/25M) is also available.
