Four RS-232C Ports
from One USB

The COM-4CN-USB expands a single USB port of a PC into four RS-232C-standard serial communication ports. Each port features a 9-pin D-SUB connector, just like a PC, allowing the use of commercially available RS-232C cables. The product supports baud rates up to 921,600 bps and includes separate 128-byte transmit and 384-byte receive FIFO buffers per channel.

Using the device driver COM-DRV, the product can be used in the same manner as standard COM ports of a PC, supporting Win32 API DCB structures and Linux standard system calls. A diagnostic program is included to confirm hardware operation and perform communication tests.
